Driver who deliberately plowed into pedestrians at Kohl’s was high on drugs, prosecutors say

The man who crashed his vehicle into a Kohl's in Huntington Beach last week is now facing six charges for attempted murder.Tuan Miller, 54, of Anaheim, was arrested last Friday after he allegedly crashed into the front of the department store at the Bella Terra Mall.Miller fled the scene, but was later arrested, at which point it was determined he was under the influence of an undisclosed drug.On Friday, Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer released new information about the crash, including that it's being investigated as an intentional act.Miller is accused plowing into a group of people who were standing outside the store and listening to a group of singers. He allegedly drove onto the sidewalk, hitting two women before revving his engine and accelerating toward three other people. The L.A. Bowl, the annual college football bowl game held at SoFi Stadium, has a new host, and with the new host comes a new name. Four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski was announced as the host on Saturday, replacing Jimmy Kimmel. The game will now be known as the L.A. Bowl Hosted by Gronk. The game will feature the Mountain West conference’s top-ranked team against the Pac-12's number five seed, according to a press release from the stadium. Gronk is bringing his “unique style and flair” back to college football, SoFi Stadium officials said, and will make a “grand entrance” to start the festivities before presiding over the coin toss and leading the trophy presentation. “At the trophy presentation, Gronkowski will present the winning team with the bowl game’s one-of-a-kind L.A. FREMONT — A convicted kidnapper, suspected of abducting his estranged relationship partner in August, then stabbing and beating her while holding her hostage for a week, has been charged with multiple crimes, according to authorities and court records.The woman was finally able to escape when the suspect took her on a camping trip, authorities said.The suspect, 61-year-old Jose Terra, has been charged with felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, corporal injury to a domestic partner, battery with serious bodily injury, false imprisonment by violence and making criminal threats. He is also charged with a misdemeanor for disobeying a court order.He was arrested and charged in early September and is being held in lieu of $345,000 bail at Santa Rita Jail.
