TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Troy man was arrested following a child sex offense investigation. Daniel Landfear, 34, faces several charges. New York State Police say an investigation began after their Internet Crimes Against Children Department received information that Landfear sent indecent material to children. Following the investigation, he was arrested and taken to Brunswick State Police for processing on June 29.Landfear was arraigned at the Troy City Court and was held at the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 cash or a $200,000 partially secured bond. Further investigation found he reportedly had sexual contact with a child under 11 and forcibly touched a child under 17. He was arrested again on Tuesday. BROADALBIN, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Broadalbin Diner reopened Aug. 30 after they were forced to close down for two months due to extensive water damage that happened at the beginning of July. Get the latest news, weather, sports and more delivered right to your inbox! “July Third we had a flood from upstairs and it actually went through the ceiling and down into our basement and did a lot of damage," Amanda Lee, Owner of the Broadalbin Diner said. Almost the entire restaurant had to be renovated, including the kitchen, floors and walls. That damage causing the diner to close for two months while repairs were made, heavily impacting their business during what Lee said is their busiest season. “Busiest time of the year but all of our customers and the community have supported us through this hard, hard time," Lee said. An Aurora Police detective injured off-duty in a motorcycle accident is recovering, police officials have announced.Detective Jennifer Mills was injured on Aug. 20 while riding a newly purchased motorcycle in Nebraska. She was treated there.A medical evacuation flight then returned her to Centennial Airport in south metro Denver, according to Aurora police officials in a posting Tuesday on X, the social media site previously called Twitter. Authorities are expected to announce charges Wednesday against a man suspected of driving a speeding vehicle that crashed into a fully occupied Uber, killing three passengers, in the Westmont area of Los Angeles earlier this month.The driver who allegedly T-boned the Uber while traveling at a speed near 90 mph has been identified as Gregory Black, 31. The crash happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. in the Westmont area of L.A. near the intersection of Vermont Avenue and Century Boulevard. (ANG)Black was driving a white Mercedes-Benz and apparently ran a red light before hitting the dark-colored Uber vehicle that was transporting four passengers. An Aliso Viejo man is dead after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in Irvine Tuesday afternoon.Andres Osegueda, 23, was riding a Yamaha motorcycle at about 2:30 p.m. when he collided with a gray GMC Canyon crew cab pickup truck near Irvine Center Drive and Bake Parkway, the Irvine Police Department said in a news release.
